In the third quarter of 2025, the maps and navigation category in Italy saw notable trends across the top applications. The data, sourced from Sensor Tower, provides insights into weekly downloads, revenue, and active users.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a fluctuating download pattern, peaking at around 62K in the week of August 11 before declining to approximately 36K by the end of September. Active users hovered around 2.5M, with minor fluctuations throughout the quarter.

Trenitalia maintained a steady download rate, beginning at 39.9K and gradually increasing to 47.3K by the end of the quarter. The app's active user base showed a positive trend, growing from 2.6M to nearly 2.9M.

Uber - Request a ride showed a peak in downloads mid-July, reaching around 60K, and then tapered off to about 41.6K by late September. Active users remained consistent, with a slight rise from 522.5K to 564.6K over the quarter.
